This Wiki has been used as an archive of the Dublin Food Co-operative Society Ltd ("the Co-op" or "DFC"), including planning and coordinating activities, keeping members informed, debating Co-op issues and raising awareness of the Co-op community, its objectives and principles.

Only this main page and the Co-op History and Development section can be viewed by the general public (see below). Viewing the other pages, and editing, require a user-name, which can be issued on request to active Co-op members.

How this Wiki works

This Wiki is intended to be an information repository and communications medium for members of the DFC. Some of its pages are accessible to the general public, but most areas are restricted to Co-op members only. These are mainly for discussion of current topics, or for specific project work among sub-groups of members.

There are three levels of edit permissions. The general public may edit certain documents, but most editing can only be performed by members who have an account with the wiki. (Click here to set up an account. To become a member, simply turn up on a market day and ask at the entrance desk). A small number of pages, such as the main page and historical items, are locked under CB authority, and a wiki administrator, appointed by the CB, implements changes in rules or policy. Wiki Policy should read and respected.

Most of the member-only pages can be freely edited by members. This means adding personal comments, initiating new topics, linking to other internal or external information, direct mailing to other contributors, participation in discussions, voting on issues, accessing Coop financial information and other internal documents, downloading images, sounds or other media documents etc.

Any paid up member of the food Co-op can be a member of this Wiki. Anybody reading this can submit a request for an account.
