The Products Group's brief is to seek out new core products to serve the needs of members and review existing products for necessity, quality, value and conformity to established Co-op principles; to review the products and services provided by Producer Members and consider new applications; and to take appropriate measures to ensure continuity of supply. It is taking forward a strong orientation toward ecological and ethical concerns in developing a new buying policy for the Co-op.
Members coming together for Talkin' Co-op events in late 2010 kick-started the Work Rota Monitoring Group (dubbed WoRMs). Its brief, as laid down by a Co-op AGM, is to encourage member participation in the Co-op by identifying the work needed for its smooth operation that can be done by volunteer members, recruiting members to do that work and establishing a tracking process for work and volunteers. The operation of the present Help Rota Group falls within its remit.
The Premises Group has a brief to ensure that the Co-op has suitable location in which to operate and to deal with all issues related to the space, including space allocation, health, safety and hygiene. It also strives to maximise usage of the Co-op's venue space to best benefit members.
As its name suggests, the Finance Group oversees all money-related matters within the Co-op.
