The night included a smattering of: three-legged, egg-n-spoon, costumes and masks, music, stories, games, laughter, drinks, fruits, crepes and the like.
After a long cold yucky winter came an invite to join a couple of hours of Improv comedy games: "Whether you're a regular or its your very first time.. come and lend us the sound of your laughter.. if you havent heard it for a long time.. you are in for a treat.. it'll be the best and most funnest thing you will do for your Mental Health on Thursday 18th February ; this year or any year"
Now for the science:
:: Improv comedy is better than Prozac
:: Laughing a lot extends your life by as much as 194 years

:: Hooting with laughter burns 3000 calories per minute

Working with the essence of the voice as revealed in Georgian song brings insights that can enhance any form of singing and the speaking voice and offers a rich path of self-discovery.
Frank Kane first heard Georgian songs in 1982 and traveled to Georgia for the first time in 1984. This was the beginning of a long-standing passion which led him to found the Kartuli Ensemble in the United States and later the Marani and *Irinola* ensembles in France. His teaching approach uses exercises with vibration, the raw material of our voices and our selves, to shed light on the principles that underlie this singing. This workshop was an oppportunity to explore our voices and ourselves.
Cost: €20 (€15 conc.)
This 2 hour morning workshop offered "an awesome opportunity for participants to laugh their socks off and astonish themselves".
Those attending learnt the 3 golden rules of improvisational comedy and played games that put them into action. It provided a unique way to increase spontaneity, think outside the box, play like a kid and laugh like a drain.
