For those of you who have missed them so far, the aim of the meitheals is to make some additional long tables and benches for the cafe, to replace the smaller ones, in order to foster a more communal atmosphere. George is the master of ceremonies and has created a fantastic new bench design, that makes the benches stackable making life easier for the floor cleaning volunteers. They are also very comfortable. There are two examples of these finished and at use in the café area, so the work has progressed from preparation to the fun stuff already. So do join us every 2nd and 4th Thursday in the Main Hall. If you can bring tools that would be great, and if you have a portable work bench and can bring that then please do and also gloves. Contact the Work Rota Monitoring Group (WoRMs) for details at WoRMs [at] dublinfood.coop
